Ruaha & Mikumi
Lion
eating buffalo -Ruaha Park
This
5-day safari focuses on two of Tanzania’s jewel parks in the South, Ruaha National Park and Mikumi National Park and is perfect for
those guests who want the ultimate bush experience.
The
Ruaha National Park is one
Tanzania’s least visited but most rewarding parks. Although set in spectacular
scenery with an abundance of wildlife, the park is an isolated and peaceful wilderness.
Amongst the game found at the park are elephants, buffalos, giraffes, cheetahs,
lions, leopards, a wide variety of antelope and over 465 recorded species of
birdlife.
Day
1 – After breakfast, depart from Dar es Salaam city centre with your experienced
professional safari guide by 4×4 safari vehicle on our way to Iringa. Stop at a
restaurant for lunch, and then proceed driving to Iringa town for dinner and
overnight at Iringa Hotel or similar.

the lodge followed by an afternoon game drive. Ruaha River Lodge is the only
lodge in the reserve and is built on a rocky ridge with spectacular views of
the Great Ruaha River. Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River Lodge.
Day
3 – Enjoy a full day game drive. The river area features large numbers of
hippo and crocodile and attracts lion, leopard, hunting dog, waterbuck, impala,
