Outline Itinerary
- Day 1: Arrive Kigali, road transfer to Musanze
- Day 2: Gorilla trekking
- Day 3: Second Gorilla trekking, road transfer to Kigali
Day 1: Arrival Road Transfer to
Musanze
Be
met by Amahoro driver/guide at the Kigali International airport and stop for
lunch in the city before being transferred to the twin lakes of Bulera &
Ruhondo – Their deep blue waters ringed by steep hills and tall waterfalls
with the outlines of the nearby Virunga Volcanoes provide a spectacular
backdrop. Get to the view point then drive to Musanze for overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking
After
an early breakfast, you will proceed to the National Park headquarters, we
embark on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Once
you spot them you are allowed to spend an hour in their presence. But it is an
hour you will never forget. Return to your hotel for lunch and later dinner and
overnight.
Day 3: Second Gorilla Trek and Travel
to Kigali
Today
after an early breakfast, you will be driven to the National Park headquarters
– now visiting a different Gorilla family. Later return to your hotel to
freshen up then have lunch. You will then be transferred to Kigali town in the
afternoon for overnight at your hotel.
Day 4: City Tour and Shopping +
Depart
After breakfast; today you will
visit interesting spots which may include; the craft market, Gisozi genocide
memorial site, Kigali museum, and also engage in last minute shopping, before
returning to the airport for your onward international flight back home.
