Serengeti Camping – Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro (Mobile Standard Camping)
Enjoy the adventure of a lifetime visiting Tanzania’s most well known wildlife parks containing an extraordinary density and diversity of wildlife on a 9 day Serengeti camping tour. This safari requires a group minimum size of 10 guests but can accommodate a very large group which makes it ideal for school, university or special interest travellers.
Day 1: – The Serengeti camp tour starts with lunch in Arusha town at 12:30hrs. At 14:00hrs, join your experienced professional safari guide in our 4X4 safari vehicle and drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy an evening game drive. The park has the last concentration of elephants in East Africa. Camp under the stars. Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 2: – Depart for a morning and afternoon game viewing in Tarangire National Park.  Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk can be found in this beautiful park, noted for its multitude of baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions. Meals and overnight at the camp.
Day 3: – After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara. Lunch at Kirurumu Tented Lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive. Manyara is a birding paradise (380 species) as well as hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, and many other animals. Afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Kirurumu Tented Lodge.
Day 4: – Enjoy another game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park. Lunch at Kirurumu Tented Lodge, and then drive to Serengeti National Park. The extraordinary scenery, abundance of wildlife and fantastic sunsets of this jewel of Tanzania will provide memories for years to come. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions. Dinner and overnight at the Camp in Serengeti.
Days 5: and 6: – Spend two full days of Serengeti camping and game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. The Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. The Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.  Meals and overnight at the camp in Serengeti.
Day 7: – Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Proceed driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. Afternoon at leisure. Ngorongoro crater’s natural beauty ranks it among the most pristine wildernesses on earth.  It is the largest intact crater in the world,  covering an area of 304 square kilometres. The volcanic crater is jam-packed with wildlife, including all the big 5 game. Its pride and joy, however, is that it remains the last great wild refuge for black rhino. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Day 8: – Today you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and cape buffalo and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Picnic lunches will be served in the crater. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Day 9: – After breakfast return to Arusha. We trust you have enjoyed a true adventure of a lifetime! Lunch at Impala Hotel.
