Serengeti Camping Safari (Budget Camping)
This 6 day budget camping safari requires a group minimum size of 16 guests but can accommodate a very large group which makes it ideal for school, university or special interest travellers.
Day 1 – Our Serengeti budget safari starts with lunch in Arusha town at 12:30hrs.  At 14:00hrs, join your experienced professional safari guide in our 4X4 safari vehicle and drive to Lake Manyara. Enjoy an evening game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Manyara is a birding paradise (more than 380 species) as well as hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, and many other animals. Dinner and overnight at a campsite in Mto wa Mbu.
Day 2 – Depart to Serengeti National Park with picnic lunches. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging. Dinner and overnight under tents in the Serengeti. The stars and night sounds will amaze you.
Day 3 – Spend a full day of game viewing in the Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park. The Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. The Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.. Meals and overnight under tents in the Serengeti.
Day 4 – Drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area via Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man’s earliest known ancestral remains. Picnic lunches will be served at the Gorge. Proceed driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Ngorongoro crater’s natural beauty ranks it among the most pristine wildernesses on earth. It is the largest intact crater in the world, covering an area of 304 square kilometres. The volcanic crater is jam-packed with wildlife, including all the big game. Its pride and joy, however, is that it remains the last great wild refuge for black rhino. Dinner and overnight at Simba campsite.
Day 5 – Today you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 meters) to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and cape buffalo and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. Afternoon return to the camp for lunch. After lunch, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight under tents.
Day 6  After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. We trust you have enjoyed a true adventure of a lifetime! Lunch in Arusha.
