Serengeti National Park & NgorongoroCrater /3days
Wonders of Africa Safari
Spend three days exploring two of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa and official UNESCO World Heritage Sites on our Wonders of Africa Safari to the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater. The Maasai describe the Serengeti as ‘the place where the land runs on forever’ – this description corresponds with the vast plains of the wildlife sanctuary perfectly. Dubbed ‘Africa’s Garden of Eden’, The Ngorongoro Crater hosts an abundance of wildlife including the exceptionally rare black rhino and is renowned for maximum game spotting.

Day 1: Moshi to Serengeti National Park
In the morning we will depart to the Serengeti National Park from Moshi. We will take the scenic route to the Serengeti passing along the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Serengeti is one of the Seven Natural wonders of Africa; it also features spectacular river crossings and is home to all the big predators. You have the opportunity to marvel at the view whilst enjoying an appetizing picnic lunch on a kopje (small hill in a generally flat area). We will resume our journey and progress further into the Serengeti for a game drive. When the game drive is completed you will proceed to the Serengeti Camp, full-board camping is on offer.
Day 2: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
The day will begin in the central Serengeti where you will have an opportunity to view game. Lunch will be served in the park before we proceed to the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater has a diverse ecological system that includes lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, elands, wild dogs, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffe, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos and antelopes. There are migrant birds from Eurasia and African birds such as vultures, storks and flamingos. Majority of the plantation can be described as luscious and green but there are species of desert plants. The probability of what species you are likely to see all depends on the time of year and the migration of the herds. We will drive to the rim of the crater in the afternoon and spend the night at Simba Camp.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Moshi
We will have an early departure from camp to ensure that we arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater promptly. We will descend into the crater as our game drive with a picnic lunch is inside the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater is an immense, unbroken caldera that was formed when a volcano erupted millions of years ago. The elevated structure encourages the animals subside within the crater which means there is a high possibility of spotting every member of ‘The Big 5’. The powerful group comprises of buffalo, lions, rhinos, elephants and leopards. You can expect to see other wildlife including zebra, hippos, wildebeest and hyenas. The flamingos will lounge gracefully on the banks of the Soda Lake whilst the vultures can be found scavenging for the discarded prey of a predator. Geese and storks are amongst some of the other bird species. Our guides are highly skilled and their ability to track down animals is impressive. This level of expertise is not easily acquired. Your trip will come to an end in the late afternoon and we will proceed to Moshi. Transportation to the airport or Arusha can be arranged on request.
