Tarangire, maasai land, simanjiro plains/3days
Day 1:
After an early breakfast in Arusha get picked up by your guide and drive south into Maasailand, have a picnic lunch on the simanjiro plains. The Simanjiro plains are crucial calving grounds for wildebeest and zebra of the Tarangire ecosystem from December-May. This offers some great wildlife viewing of plains game including zebra, wildebeest, and giraffe and grants gazelle. What better way to observe these animals then from a mountain bike! Spend the afternoon biking into camp. Night at camp.
Day2:
Spend the day rock climbing on beautiful granite close to camp. All climbs are on top rope with a varying difficulty of routes from easy 5.8 to harder 5.11. This day there is also the option for a half day excursion to climb up the Oldonyo Sambu Mountain which gives great rock scrambling opportunities and a 360 degree vista of the whole Tarangire ecosystem. While in camp you will be accompanied by Maasai guides allowing you to get acquainted with the Maasai culture. Night at camp.
Day 3:
Option for a few early mornings climbs and then drives into Tarangire National Park or back to Arusha. This can be a great add on for guests that want more activity on their safari.
